The moment I step into the studio, dressing room, or perhaps onto the rehearsal stage, it hits me. The feeling of being a dancer again. Pure sweat, blood and tears. Knowing that this is where some of my most difficult and beautiful times occurred. During a performance, it's all meant to look so easy and effortless. We're trained to stay in character, even if we're in incredible pain. Or perhaps something personal has occurred, but our emotions have to stay under control. We must always respect the art and the responsibility one has before going on the stage. Saying this, makes me realise just how difficult this profession really is. I therefore have the utmost respect for the dancers and I feel extremely lucky to still capture these moments.
